Slightly belated positivity

A nice moment today when my registrar snuck up behind me in the coffee room and gave me a big hug and told me how much she's going to miss me (I change jobs in 3 weeks). I'll miss her too, but I'll only be across the corridor in A&E, and I know we'll stay in touch and go out for drinks and meet for coffee. It's nice when colleagues become real friends.

Also, my other registrar bought me a caramel cupcake. And on my on-call I saw a little girl, 10 years old, who was sobbing in terror when she came in and smiling when she left. Yay for being able to make things better sometimes.
